Dr. François Welt is a Mechanical Engineer specialized in the development of software solutions for the hydro industry. He has held lead positions in the design and implementation of water management systems for electricity producers in many parts of the world. He graduated with a Ph.D degree from UBC, Vancouver, Canada, in 1988 , and has been working for the engineering firm Hatch since 1999.
