Karma Tshewang is currently engaged in the construction of 1,200 MW Punatsangchhu-I Hydroelectric Project, a bilaterally executed venture with Government of India, located in Wangdue Phodrang district of Bhutan, Asia. He has about two decades of experience in the electricity and hydropower sector with perspectives in policy and planning in a government setting, among others. He has a Master of Science Degree in Energy Management from New York Institute of Technology, New York and a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering Degree from University of Roorkee (now IIT-Roorkee) in India.
