Diana‘s career has focused on using plant science to benefit agriculture. In 2004, she and Roger Freedman established the 2Blades Foundation , a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the development of durable disease resistance in crops. Prior to that she served as Science Director at ATP Capital, a venture capital firm that invested in companies developing agricultural biotechnologies. Diana worked at the Department of Agricultural Research in Botswana addressing maize and millet limitations in southern Africa. She received her Ph.D. in biochemistry and molecular biology from Northwestern University and a BS in Biology from Tuft University.
