Jan has a PhD in Inorganic chemistry from 1997. He graduated from Umeå University, Sweden. The same year he joined Professor William H. Casey and his research team at University of California, Davis, CA. The post doc position lasted for two years. Jan joined AkzoNobel in 1999 and has worked within R&D ever since, both R&D manager positions and senior research positions. His present challenge as Senior Application Specialist is to develop applications for expandable thermoplastic microspheres. Elastomeric roof coating is one of the applications in focus.
