Darryl Syler has been involved with the fleet industry (military and public) for over 30 years. He serves on the Executive Board of Directors for Clean Fuels Ohio and currently chairs the Policy Committee helping to lead the charge in policy development for alternative fuels in Ohio. He also serves on the City of Dublin’s sustainability committee and a member of the APWA Fleet Services Committee. Syler was recently elected to the Board of Governors for the Green Truck Association and is currently working with a group within Dublin to foster the use of Hydrogen fuel and build a Hydrogen fueling station. Another ongoing project is the use of Smart transportation that is moving quite rapidly in the area. Syler has led the City of Dublin Fleet team to numerous awards since arriving in 2011. Dublin Fleet is a 3-Star Ohio Green Fleet as well as a Master Certified Fleet Operation and Certified Clean Fleet through Government Fleet and Fleet Counselor Services. Dublin has been ranked both in the Top 100 Best Fleets and Top 50 Leading Fleets in America. His involvement in his local NAFA Tri-State chapter has led him to be elected as Chapter Chair for 2017. Syler has overseen the expansion of the City of Dublin’s fleet, including the development of its CNG station which sells to the general public through IGS Energy and fuels the City’s own 63 CNG vehicles. In 2016 the City switched to a Bio-Diesel blend and pumped 334,893 gallons of Diesel fuel which is used by the City of Dublin’s Fleet, City of Dublin Public Schools, and The Washington Township Fire Department.
