Eileen Tutt

Eileen Tutt, prior to becoming the executive director of the California Electric Transportation Coalition, Tutt worked in California State government for over 15 years. Most recently, Tutt served as Deputy Secretary for the California Environmental Protection Agency (Cal/EPA). Prior to her time at Cal/EPA, Tutt worked for the California Air Resources Board, an agency within Cal/EPA. In her 10 years at the Air Resources Board, Tutt helped develop regulations and programs that have placed the State of California at the forefront of environmental protection. Throughout her career, Tutt has worked closely with members of the legislature and their staff to represent the position of the administration and present the technical findings and stakeholder positions responsibly. She has a long history of working collaboratively with the governor’s office, members and staff of the legislature, representatives from various state agencies and members of the business and environmental community to find solutions to tough policy challenges. Recognition of Tutt’s service has come in the form of letters from Governor Schwarzenegger, a senate resolution, plaques from the various organizations on whose boards she has served, and achievement awards from the Air Resources Board. A long-time supporter of electric transportation, Tutt has logged over 250,000 all electric miles. Active in civic duties, Tutt serves as a trustee for the Climate Action Reserve, on the External Advisory Committee for the Sustainable Transportation Center at UC Davis, and as a board member for the Yolo County SPCA.
