Dr. Baumann studied physics at Ruhr-University Bochum, Germany and began his career as a Scientist at the Institute for Experimental Physics . From 1990 to 1995 he worked at DMT-Research and Testing GmbH in the DMT-Institute for Process Control Systems and electrical Installations. Since 1996 he has been Managing Director of ee energy engineers GmbH and for 10 years up until 2006 he was involved in the management of the North Rhine-Westphalia State Initiative on Future Energies. Dr. Baumann’s numerous industry interests include being spokesman of the Study Group Future Energies at the “Future Energies Forum”, member of the expert group renewable energies of the German Engineers Association (VDI) and Member of the Board of the German Heat Pump Association (BWP). He will be addressing POWER-GEN Europe delegates in his capacity as Managing Director of the EnergyAgency.NRW, a position he has held since 2007 where he is also Cluster manager EnergyRegion.NRW and EnergyResearch.NRW.
