Andrea Panizzo is currently Head of Business Development of Europe and Middle East Area in Enel Green Power, the Renewables Division of Enel S.p.A. He is a Civil Hydraulic Engineer, with a PhD in Maritime Constructions. He joined Enel in 2008, and worked mainly in the Business Development unit, with responsibilities in the hydropower technologies development. The carried out activities regard mainly Development and permitting of greenfield projects, participation to governmental tenders, M&A of projects and operating plants. In October 2015 he was appointed Head of Business Development of Europe and Middle East Area, leading a team of more than 40 people, active in Italy, Spain, Russia, Germany, Sweden, Greece, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and UAE.
