Daniel provides energy law related advice to investors, plant operators, traders and power supply companies, mainly on commercial and regulatory matters in the field of renewable energies and co-generation of power and heat. He has a special focus on renewable energy projects, direct sales of renewable energies, system services of power plants (e.g., control reserve markets, virtual power plants, feed-in management) and decentralised generation and supply of electricity and heat. Daniel is regularly involved in transactions and structuring of renewable energy projects, commercial contracts, renewable energy tenders and energy disputes (litigation, arbitration, regulatory proceedings). Daniel studied in Cologne and Pittsburgh (Duquesne). He worked as a research associate at the Institute for Energy Law at the University of Cologne between 2007 and 2010. Daniel is regularly active as speaker and author in the field of renewable energies law. He joined Osborne Clarke as attorney in 2013.
