Yacine Layachi has joined Eesti Energia in 2010 and has been project manager for the first oil shale power plant in Jordan. The 554 MW oil shale power plant has reached financial close in March 2017. Yacine Layachi has been also involved in projects such as the retrofit project of CFB units for the increase of co-firing of retort gas at the Estonian power plants. He has been previously working in R&D for compressor aerodynamics and has developed several compressors for gas turbine upgrades
