Matti Alemayehu is a Senior Researcher at ExxonMobil Research and Engineering responsible for developing and testing the Mobil Pegasus gas engine oils. Matti joined ExxonMobil, Products Technology division early 2015 with the Commercial, Marine, Gas Engine and Aviation Lubricants team located in Paulsboro, NJ. Since then, she has been working closely with gas engine builders to develop next generation natural gas engine Lubricants. She has been involved in the successful field demonstration of Mobil Pegasus 605 Ultra, Mobil SHC Pegasus and Mobil Pegasus 805 Ultra. She is currently leading next generation product development activities for Pegasus gas engine oils, and has been instrumental in the launch of the new gas engine oil technology for high efficiency gas engines: Mobil Pegasus 1100 Series. Matti holds a Ph.D. in Solid State Chemistry and a M.Sc. in Polymer Chemistry, with a strong background in synthesis and characterization of metallic compounds, from the University of Oregon.
