Matteo has graduated from the University of Trento in Italy in 2011, completing his Materials Engineering PhD thesis on the evaluation of elastic properties and residual stresses in textured, nanocrystalline coatings. He has since been working in the Metallurgy department of Tenaris R&D, working on the metallurgy of welding of microalloyed steels; hot formability of alloyed steels; creep testing and modeling; and microstructural evolution during high temperature service, with special interest for creep-strength enhanced ferritic alloys. He is a member of two ASME BPV Code working groups, and of the European Creep Collaborative Committee (where he currently chairs the Italian national section).
