Peter Hughes is the Business Development Director for Black & Veatch`s Europe business. Peter`s objective is to establish Black Veatch as one of the foremost suppliers of Engineering, procurement & Construction (EPC) and professional services in the Europe energy market. Peter is responsible for Black & Veatch`s Europe development strategy and leads the company`s sales and marketing activities. Peter is a member of the Black and Veatch Europe Leadership team and is also the Business Development Director for Black and Veatch`s Joint Venture company; MBV Energy Recovery (MBV), which has been established to deliver EPC solutions for the UK Waste to Energy sector. Peter is an Advisory Board Member for POWER-GEN Europe. Peter has an impressive track record of developing businesses in both mature and developing markets across a wide international footprint – from the UK to the Middle East, Asia and Australia. In the UK, Peter has extensive experience in supporting the construction of a number of conventional thermal generation assets including CCGT, CHP and WtE plants ranging from 5 MW to 1,400 MW in terms of power output. Peter has a passion for developing long-term relationships and believes the key to business success starts with an open conversation about business outcomes.
