Mr. Niels Houbak is a specialist in modeling and simulation of thermal systems. He has extensive experience in process models (components and systems) for thermal energy systems in particular within the field of energy and power production and implementation of such models in simulators.He has participated in process evaluation projects and he has developed a tool for the evaluation of fuel consumption of the AVV 2 multi fuel plant. Mr. Niels Houbak has worked for 30 years at the Technical University of Denmark as a Professor and taught in the areas Engineering Thermodynamics, Thermal Power Plants, Energy systems - analysis, design and operation, Numerical Methods and Programming. He has authored more than 50 papers and one book within the area. He has been editor on a special issue of the Journal Energy.
