Matthias Zelinger

Matthias Zelinger, born in 1968, was appointed Managing Director VDMA Power Systems* and VDMA Spokesman for Energy Policy in March 2015. Matthias was also nominated Deputy Managing Director of FVV, VDMA´s Research Association for Combustion Engines and Turbines, in October 2016. In June 2016, Matthias joined the Board of WindEurope. Prior to his current positions, Matthias held several other positions in VDMA. He joined the Association in 2002 taking over the responsibility for the divisions Process Gas Compressor and Compressed Air Technology. Between 2007 and 2015 he was in charge of the Thermal Turbine and Power Plant activities, and he was Secretary General of the European Industry Association EUTurbines until 2014. Before joining VDMA, Matthias held an executive position in the special-purpose engineering sector. Matthias holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering.
