Jeffrey S. DeWitt is the independent Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for the District of Columbia. As CFO, he is responsible for the District’s finances, including its approximately $13.8 billion in annual operating funds, and $6.6 billion in capital funds with over 1,500 government employees. He works closely with the Mayor, City Council, Congressional committees that oversee District affairs, and regularly interacts with the Wall Street financial community. Previously, Jeff DeWitt served as CFO for the city of Phoenix.
