SHAWN PRUCHNICKI is a faculty member (Professor) at Ohio State University (OSU), where he teaches aviation safety, human factors, and accident investigation. Previously, he was a firefighter/paramedic and an airline captain with Delta Connection for 10 years. His focus includes the roles that safety culture and human error play in understanding accident causation.
