James is the CEO of Advanced Grid Consulting, which advises technology and energy companies that are transforming the electric grid, from startups to utilities. He has led various innovative projects to accelerate the adoption and integration of clean technologies, including rooftop solar, batteries, and electric vehicles. He is a recognized expert on distributed energy resources and e-mobility and has published various thought pieces on new utility models and transitions to advanced energy solutions. James previously served as VP of strategy at Clean Power Finance. Prior to enter the power industry, James served in various management positions at GE, where he completed its elite commercial leadership program. James earned a BA in economics from Yale University and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
