Marc Riccio joined Blue Bird in 2018 as the Great Lakes Regional Sales Manager and oversaw a $150MM territory, was subsequently tapped by Senior Management and accepted the position of Alternative Fuels Manager responsible for Alaska, New England and Canada, with a focus on propane, compressed natural gas (CNG), gas and electric. He currently collaborates with partners Ford ROUSH CleanTech (propane, CNG & gas) and Cummins (electric) to further advance adoption of emergent technologies. Prior to Blue Bird, Marc was the Strategic OEM Business Manager for private equity firm Century Park Capital Partners, of El Segundo, CA, which entailed management of a start-up North American strategic business unit (SBU) for one of its market-leading portfolio companies targeting Class 1-8 truck and trailer, coach bus, school bus, transit bus, urban rail applications, marine and modular construction. Marc was also the National Sales Manager for SoundOff Commercial Vehicle Products as a supplier to the BIG3 school bus OEM’s: Blue Bird, IC / Navistar and Thomas Bus / Daimler; his tenure yielded multiple performance awards from his customers, 91% business revenue growth and 65% US market share for school bus LED lighting applications. He’s currently involved, or has been involved with numerous industry, state and national organizations: Blue Bird Supplier Council, CALSTART, National School Transportation Association (NSTA), Michigan Association of Pupil Transportation (MAPT), National Association of Pupil Transportation (NAPT), National Association of State Directors of Student Pupil Transportation Services (NASDPTS), National Congresses on School Transportation (NCST), Heavy Duty Manufacturers Association (HDMA) and the Modular Building Institute (MBI). Marc graduated from Michigan State University with honors and holds a BFA, and is also 8D Certified.
