Surin holds bachelor degrees in Electrical Power Engineering and Electrical & Electronics Engineering from Universiti Tenaga National in Malaysia. He has over 8 years of experience in engineering, commissioning, operations and project management portfolio, with a solid background in automation and electrical services across power generation and water industries. He joined ABB in 2009 and is most recently the Head of Operations for Power Generation and Water local business unit in Malaysia. His past experiences involved in Electrical & Automation projects, among others, in TNB Pasir Gudang, TNB Kenyir, TNB Paka, Pahlawan Power Plant, SJ Connaught Bridge Power Plant, Manjung, Pergau and Kapar. Field of Interest includes Power System Stability, Power Electronics, and advances in Power Generation. He is a member of IEEE PES and MIET.
