Mr. Joseph Mitchell has 16 years of environmental experience and began his career working as a field engineer starting up and troubleshooting air pollution control equipment. He has designed several wet FGD systems as an environmental process engineer and serves as a B&W Subject Matter Expert on FGD. Mr. Mitchell serves as Manager, Environmental Process Engineering in the Process & Controls Group at The Babcock & Wilcox Company. The Environmental Process Engineering department is responsible for the design of environmental equipment, such as Wet, Dry and Semi-Dry FGD Systems, Wet and Dry ESP’s, SCR Systems, Mercury Control Systems, Dry Sorbent Injection Systems and Baghouses. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from The Ohio State University.
