Gabriel Rebeiz
Professor
University of California, San Diego

Professor Gabriel M Rebeiz's expertise includes design of silicon RFICs for microwave and millimeter-wave systems with a specialty on phased arrays and low power circuits, active and passive imaging systems up to THz frequencies (including thermal imagers), RF micro-electro-mechanical systems (RF MEMS), tunable filters and tunable antennas for cognitive radios, and collision avoidance systems for automotive radars. He is the father of silicon-based affordable phased-arrays having invented the SiGe/CMOS 2x2 Quad-Core architecture in 2001, and over 15 years transitioned it to full production for 5G, SATCOM and X/Ku/Ka-band radars at several defense and commercial companies. He won the IEEE Microwave Prize twice and was elected to the National Academy for his work on affordable phased-arrays.
