Shakil Qureshi is the Chief Executive Officer of Futron Incorporated, a systems integration company. He founded Futron Incorporated in 1994 as a small telecommunications consulting and training company. Initially, Futron helped companies like Alcatel set up businesses in the United States. Futron provided training and certification for small businesses in the field of emerging markets of computer networking. Over the last 23 years, Futron has grown into a government systems integrator with a focus on Unified Communications. Prior to starting Futron, Mr. Qureshi spent over 15 years in the telecommunications industry. For 10 years, he was Chief Engineer for Belden Wire and Cable, overseeing global engineering functions. He oversaw the manufacturing development processes for the new generation of computer cables in use today for computer networking. He received four international patents for his contributions to cabling manufacturing processes. Mr. Qureshi has served on the EIA/TIA Fiber Optics Standards Committee and he joined AMP Incorporated in 1990 to help launch a new business venture of wire and cable manufacturing. His contributions at AMP included developing a business plan, establishing manufacturing facilities, and training global sales and marketing organizations. He received a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Tri State University. He completed Executive Management Training Program at Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College. In addition to his active work leading Futron, Mr. Qureshi also participates in DoD Services Acquisition Seminars as an industry liaison and serves as a chair of the GSA Industry Advisory Committee.
