Yevgeniy Sirotin

Yevgeniy B. Sirotin, Ph.D., is a senior scientist manager in SAIC’s Identity and Data Sciences Laboratory, specifically supporting the Department of Homeland security Science and Technology Directorate (DHS S&T) as the technical director at the Maryland Test Facility. Sirotin’s work focuses on developing and applying operationally relevant metrics to measure technology performance through efficient testing representative of DHS use cases. His current research topics are in the field of biometrics and identity. They include research on biometric AI bias and how to best introduce biometric AI into human workflows or “human algorithm teaming.” He is currently a co-editor of a new standard for measuring demographic effects in biometric systems (ISO/IEC 19795-10).
