Kurt joined Piedmont Office Realty Trust as the Regional Manager for the Midwest Region, overseeing the Property Management activities for the Chicago, Minneapolis, and Detroit Markets. Prior to joining Piedmont, Kurt was responsible for the financial reporting, tenant retention efforts, and all operational aspects of Fifth Street Towers; a Class A 1,068,000 sf high-rise office building located in the Minneapolis CBD. Kurt led the transition team after Fifth Street Towers was purchased at a Sherriff's Sale on April 17th, 2012. He began his real estate career in 2000 with Zeller Realty Group as the Assistant Property Manager of the International Centre Complex, a Class A office building located in the Minneapolis CBD. Since then, he has worked for a variety of real estate firms managing Class A and B high-rise buildings in Minneapolis. He has also managed over 1,500,000 sf of suburban real estate, which included a mix of retail, office and industrial. Kurt rejoined Zeller Realty Group in 2008 and coordinated the extensive renovation of Wells Fargo Plaza which was completed in 2010. The project was awarded the 2010 NAIOP Award of Excellence for the Renovated +75,000 sf category. Specialties: Tenant Retention, Streamlining Operations, Construction Management
