Stockman graduated from veterinary school in Israel, then completed a rotating internship in Israel and two residency programs, zoological companion animal medicine and veterinary clinical nutrition, at the University of California, Davis. He is a diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Nutrition and previously worked as a senior research scientist at the Waltham Centre for Pet Nutrition in the UK. In 2016, he joined the Colorado State Veterinary Teaching Hospital as a clinical nutritionist and post-doctoral in nutrition research. Stockman taught in the veterinary school at UC Davis and has presented at several national and international veterinary conferences, including ACZM 2010, AAVN 2012 and CVMA 2016.
