Executive Director, National Plasterers Council Chris Marcano, the Executive Director of the National Plasterers Council, brings 25 years of industry experience in manufacturing and water chemistry. With a degree in English and journalism from the University of Kansas, Chris has honed exceptional communication skills, further enhancing his effectiveness as a dynamic team leader and educator in the pool and spa industry. Throughout his career, Chris has held key roles at companies like Leslies, Natural Chemistry (NC Brands), and Biolab. His dedication to industry advocacy and education is reflected in his involvement with several industry organizations, including the PHTA Board of Regents and PHTA Educational Committee. He has been recognized as an APSP Fellow for his contributions to teaching, research, and service to the industry. Chris's commitment to the NPC spans over 15 years, during which he has served on marketing and education boards, cementing his reputation as a respected industry figure. As the co-host of the NPC podcast “Smooth Finish,” Chris continues to share his extensive knowledge and insights with professionals in the field. Based in Kansas City, Chris’s passion for all things pool and spa underscores his dedication to the industry and his role as an influential leader and educator.
