Keith Leavitt




Keith A. Leavitt is the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) at the Port of Portland. Prior to assuming the role of CCO in late November of 2014 Keith was the General Manager of Business Development and Properties. Keith oversees maritime and aviation commercial business development activities as well as the Port’s industrial real estate portfolio. He has a diverse role also in maintaining key relationships with community leaders and business partners, and works closely with traded sector companies, shippers, ocean and air carriers and logistics providers engaged in global trade. Mr. Leavitt has served several positions for the Port of Portland since joining the organization in January 1999. His positions with the Port have included State Government Affairs Manager, Development Project Manager, and since 2008, General Manager of Business Development and Properties. During his tenure, Mr. Leavitt has been responsible for various strategic initiatives and projects on behalf of the Port including: securing state funding for deepening the Columbia River shipping channel; public private partnership leading to the development of 120 acre Cascade Station business park near PDX; acquisition of 750 acre Troutdale Reynolds Industrial Park; global market solicitation for a long term operator of the Port’s container business at Terminal 6; successful negotiation of 25 year lease with International Container Services Inc. to operate T-6 container business.
