As President of NMSDC since 2010, Joset Wright-Lacy is leading a significant redesign to provide innovative and customer driven services, and is a key advocate for inclusion and diversity. Previously she served as VP and General Counsel at Ameritech, and VP of Procurement/Property Services. She led a team of 1,600 employees, directing acquisition of $4 billion annually in goods and services. Following Ameritech’s 1999 merger with SBC, she was named first post-merger President of SBC Illinois. Recognized for achievement in corporate leadership from the Alliance of Business Leaders and Entrepreneurs and UNCF Millennium Award, among others, in 2012 Ms. Wright-Lacy was appointed to the U.S. Department of Commerce National Advisory Council on Minority Business Enterprise. She’s served on Boards of Directors for United Way of Chicago, Illinois Business Roundtable, Children’s Home and Aid Society of Illinois, McGaw YMCA, Indianapolis Museum of Art and others. A native of Indianapolis, Ms. Wright-Lacy earned her BA degree in Sociology from Denison University and JD degree from Georgetown University Law Center. She is married and has two adult sons.
