Jared Lau earned his Ph.D. in Counseling from the University of North Carolina, Charlotte (UNCC). He is currently an assistant professor in the CACREP-accredited Counselor Education program at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV), is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of North Carolina, and is a National Certified Counselor (NCC) through the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC). Jared’s research interests includes program evaluation and assessment, instrument development, and international issues in counseling to include international counseling students and the internationalization of the counseling profession. Jared’s clinical experience includes school counseling, college counseling, and marriage, couples, and family counseling. He has presented and published his research in both national and international outlets and has been an invited guest speaker at various professional meetings and workshops throughout southern Nevada.
