Carmen A. Rivera-Cruz, in her role as Audit Resolution Team Lead, resolves Single Audit findings and provides guidance for Single Audit resolution policy across HHS. She has been at the US Department of Health and Human Services since 2010, and worked on the resolution of cross-cutting audit findings for Single Audit and metrics for evaluating the effectiveness of the Single Audit process. She joined the federal government as a seasonal Tax Examiner for the Large Businesses and International Corporate Division of the Internal Revenue Service in 1996. She later worked at the U.S. Small Business Administration Office of Disaster Assistance as a Loan Officer. Ms. Rivera-Cruz served as a Supervisory Auditor for the Office of the Inspector General at the U.S. Office of Personnel Management earning the OIG award of Excellence in 2009. She received a Bachelor’s Degree from the Universidad Interamericana de Puerto Rico.
