Daniel Skjeldam (40) is CEO of Norwegian explorer cruise line Hurtigruten, the legendary Norwegian coastal route dating back to 1893, today also offering explorer sailings in Arctic and Antarctic waters – and from 2017/18, the Amazon River. Skjeldam holds an MBA from NHH – Norwegian School of Economics. He is also a trained military officer. Daniel Skjeldam has been Commercial Director of the international airline Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA. He has board experience from several companies in sectors like finance, tourism and transportation. Skjeldam aims to ensure Hurtigruten’s position as the world leader in offering sustainable, unique adventure experiences at sea. An important measure for achieving this objective is the establishment of Hurtigruten Foundation.
