Tim’s career began in the United States Air Force as a security specialist. Following extensive combat training and specialized security training; he was placed on the base evaluation team, which was responsible for exercising and evaluating nuclear security staff and programs. A graduate of Northern Michigan University, he was the outstanding graduating senior with a B.S. in Security Administration and Management with a minor in Business Administration. The Hershey Entertainment and Resorts Company hired Tim in 1986 as the Safety and Security Manager of Hershey Lake Compounce in Bristol Connecticut. In 1988, he was moved to Hershey as the Director of Safety and Security for the Hersheypark Complex. Tim is currently the Managing Director of Corporate Safety and Security for Hershey Entertainment & Resorts. Tim has held several positions within the community such as Deputy Coordinator for Derry Township Emergency Management, the Governors Counsel for OSHA Compliance and Chair/Co-Chair for ASIS International Chapter 79. Tim is a member of the Regional Counter Terrorism Task Force Sub-Committee for Business and Industry, American Society of Safety Engineers, the Local Emergency Planning Committee, , a member of the Law, Public Safety & Security Committee at MHS and served on the DTWP School Dist Community Task Force. Tim has also coached both football and baseball for seven years. He has written several articles published both nationally and internationally in publications such as CCTV Update and Security Communications.
