Steven J. Fram is Vice President and General Counsel at The Morey Organization, in Wildwood, New Jersey. His responsibilities include risk management and direct handling of claims and litigation involving the company and related entities. Before accepting his current position as in-house counsel in January of 2013, he was in private practice for 29 years as a commercial litigator and trial lawyer. He has been recognized as New Jersey Super Lawyer in both Business Litigation and Trial Practice and has been rated “AV-Preeminent” by Martindale. He speaks and writes on a regular basis about litigation, legal ethics and technology law issues to attorneys and to business and professional groups. Mr. Fram is the former chair of the New Jersey State Bar Association Computer and Internet Law Committee and was the recipient in 2000 of the NJSBA’s Legislative Recognition Award for his lobbying with respect to Year 2000 legislation. He is a member of International Association of Leisure Defense Attorneys (IALDA) and the Association of Corporate Counsel. He is admitted to practice in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, in the United States District Courts for the District of New Jersey, the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and the Middle District of Pennsylvania and the United States Courts of Appeals for the Third and Fourth Circuits. Mr. Fram earned both his B.A. degree, magna cum laude (1979), and his M.A. degree (1983) from Cornell University and his J.D. degree, cum laude (1983), from the Georgetown University Law Center. During law school he was an Editor of the American Criminal Law Review.
