Brian Sands has provided business economics advice for 25 years, with particular expertise in the areas of leisure, culture, and tourism. Clients include private developers/operators, not-for-profits, and public agencies, located throughout North America, Latin America and the Caribbean, and Europe. Mr. Sands regularly advises on the development/operation of a wide-range of commercial and cultural attractions (from theme parks to specialty museums), lodging (hotels and resorts), retail-dining-entertainment (RDE), and associated uses, the focus of which is to provide economic advice enabling clients to reach their goals while simultaneously understanding and reducing associated risks. He serves as Treasurer on the International Board of the Themed Entertainment Association (TEA) and the Board of the Friends of the National Zoo (FONZ), and also coordinates global production of the Theme Index and Museum Index – Global Attractions Attendance Report, the industry report produced annually by AECOM and the Themed Entertainment Association (TEA). Recent clients include: Premier Parks, The Related Companies, SeaWorld Parks and Entertainment, Palace Entertainment, Parques Reunidos, Great Wolf Resorts, Beachpark Hotéis e Turismo, Kalahari Resorts and Conventions, Kelly Slater Wave Company, Philadelphia Zoo, Zoo Miami, Wildlife Conservation Society, Hilton Hotels & Resorts, Panama Canal Authority, Houston First, Miami-Dade County, and International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA).
