Carolyn Flietstra, RN, BSN is a Senior Education Consultant with MAC Legacy. She has over 30 years of management experience and is an ACHC Certified Consultant. Her areas of consulting expertise include healthcare operations, financial performance, and quality improvement. She has been a registered nurse for 39 years, working in hospital, physician practice, and home care settings. Since moving to home care in 1999, Carolyn has worked in patient case management, quality assurance, compliance, management, and administration. Prior to joining MAC Legacy, she spent 10 years leading a community services division which included home health, private home care, hospice and palliative care, and Medicaid case management agencies. Carolyn is an ex officio member of HHFMA’s Advisory Board after completing two terms as a board member. She serves on NAHC/HHFMA’s Workgroup and Governance and Nominating Committee, and she chairs HHFMA’s Communications Committee and Innovations Committee. Carolyn is a recipient of Hall of Fame awards from the Michigan Home Health and Hospice Association and from NAHC’s Home Health and Hospice Financial Managers Association.
