Greg Karpinski is the Executive Chairman and CEO of MAXpower Group Pte Ltd. Previously, he was a Managing Director of Standard Chartered Private Equity (“SCPE”), Co-CEO of SCPE’s Energy, Resources & Infrastructure (“ERI”) team and a member of the investment committee of the USD660m Standard Chartered IL&FS Asia Infrastructure Growth Fund (“SCI Asia”). With more than 15 years of energy and infrastructure investing experience, Greg joined Standard Chartered in 2007 to facilitate the launch of the ERI team within SCPE. A core member of the SCPE team, he played a key role in completing over USD1 billion equity investments in Asian and African power, transportation, telecommunications, water and environmental services companies. Prior to this, Greg was a Co-Founder and Partner of Arizona Heart International, a provider of cardiovascular care in Asia and the Middle East. From 2001 to 2006, Greg worked at InterGen, a global power generation company, then a subsidiary of Royal Dutch Shell, in Asia and the United States. Before joining InterGen, Greg spent three years with British Petroleum in the United States. Greg holds an MBA from Boston University (United States) and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Tufts University (United States).
