Mr. David Bekaert is an electrical engineer and Ph.D. in electrical engineering from the University of Leuven, Belgium. David Bekaert joined the Power System Consulting section of Tractebel Engineering in 2012, within the team power system operation and control. Since then, he was involved in various studies concerning the grid connection and electrical stability of new generating facilities, renewable and conventional. He has also experience in the application of optimization routines in power system studies. He is also responsible for both general courses on power systems and training sessions for dispatchers of the European grids.
