Dr. Kelvin Tan – Dr. Tan has over 12 years of experience in the engineering and renewable energy sectors, including his role as an electrical engineering lecturer at Curtin University of Technology in Perth, Western Australia where he supervised Master and PhD students undertaking their research on power electronics, power system and wind energy. He was actively involved in wind and solar energy research in Australia, including wind grid connected systems, inverter control techniques, passive / active / hybrid filters, remote area power supply (RAPS) systems, power quality and harmonic mitigation techniques. Prior to joining DNV GL, Dr. Tan was a renewable energy consultant with Parsons Brinkerhoff where he gained practical expertise in solar and wind consulting. Projects included network and system transient studies, technical due diligence, feasibility studies and energy yield assessments for various wind and solar projects in China, India and Thailand.
