A qualified chartered energy engineer with specialisation in Renewable Energy involving technologies including on-shore wind, solar (PV and CSP), bio-energy (biomass and biofuels) and geothermal. Project director/manager who has been involved in (i) team leader and (ii) business development manager roles for Mott MacDonald. Iban has experience working under Mott MacDonald for governments (e.g. Department of Energy of South Africa), multi-laterals (e.g. ADB, IFC, OPIC, IDB, etc.), international lenders, investment banks, and investors, and leading developers of renewable energy projects worldwide. Working in project work globally for Mott MacDonald in all continents, Iban has also been based (or been resident project manager) in the UK, South Africa, United Arab Emirates, Japan and Thailand. Has written several professional papers and is a regular conference speaker in the Asia Pacific Region.
