Ravi Krishnaswamy heads Frost & Sullivan’s Energy & Power Practice in the Asia Pacific region and is based in Singapore. Ravi has spent more than fifteen years in the Energy&Power sector as a design engineer, project manager, senior industry analyst and research director. He is also Frost & Sullivan’s in house expert on clean technologies, utilities, power generation, power plant MRO and power quality areas. After graduation,Ravi joined ABB Alstom and subsequently he worked for Doosan Babcock, before joining Frost & Sullivan in 2001. Ravi has directly worked on or lead several research projects and consulting engagements on topics as diverse as smart grids, solar, wind energy, centralized power generation, Transmission & Distribution, utility asset management, utility & industrial energy services, power quality & datacentres, and distributed power. Ravi has advised clients on market entry, geographic expansion, competitive strategies, and strategic partnering. Some of the clients, Ravi has consulted for include GE Energy,Alstom,Areva,Eaton Electric,Cummins,Caterpillar,Rolls Royce,Toshiba,Siemens,TNB,NTPC etc. Ravi is highly sought after for his insights and has been quoted in prestigious publications including New York Times, Financial Times, Bloomberg, Business Week, Business Today, as well as on television channels such as Bloomberg. He is a seasoned presenter, having spoken widely at industry conferences in Asia Pacific and North America. Ravi also is managing Frost & Sullivan’s Growth Innovation and Leadership Forum on ‘Global Green Revolution’ and ‘Clean Technologies’ which brings together organizations from diverse industries on green platform, thus identifying cross-vertical opportunities. Ravi current management responsibilities in Frost & Sullivan include business unit profit & loss, Energy group’s geographic expansion, research planning,quality control,industry thought leadership,strategic review of consulting delivery and managing client relationships.
