Nikki Jones is a bar & nightclub owner from Portland Oregon. She opened her first bar in 2001 with a focus on creating a neighborhood vibe in the heart of downtown. The Boiler Room fast became and continues to be the go-to karaoke spot in the city. In 2012, she took her passion to a larger scale and opened Jones Bar, a 6500 square foot nightclub with an 80's & 90's themed concept, which is now one of Portland's hottest nightclubs. Today, her businesses continue to thrive. As a key stakeholder with the Old Town Hospitality Group and a steering committee member for the Big Village Coalition (which works to reduce high risk drinking among young adults), her focus is on creating a safe and vibrant nightlife community that holds training and education as a high priority for the hospitality industry. She helped pen Old Town Portland's "Best Practices for Nightlife Establishments" and helped design the annual Portland Bar Academy, focusing on additional education for owners, managers, servers, bartenders and security guards. She is a firm believer that hospitality owners working in collaboration with neighbors, key stakeholders, community partners and city officials can create a sustainable, safe, and thriving nighttime economy.
