Lawrence Sloan is President/CEO of SOCMA, the leading trade association serving the specialty chemical sector. Among other priorities, he champions the passage of rational laws and regulations, and improves public confidence through its ChemStewards program. Prior to joining SOCMA, he served as President of the Adhesive and Sealant Council. Mr. Sloan began his career as a chemical engineer at Air Products and later worked for Nalco Chemical Company in marketing, manufacturing and sales capacities. Mr. Sloan earned a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.
