"Duncan Phillips, Founder of Duncan Phillips Associates (DPA) and DP Leisure, UK Duncan has spent a lifetime in the family entertainment and attractions industry, working on the family park during the school holidays and gained a unique insight into the operation and development of the emerging visitor attraction industry in the UK. He applied his Masters Degree in Urban Design and environmental planning to the attractions industry to work on new layouts and see how they can influence the operational side of the business.Duncan spent some 15 years building up Gulliver’s theme parks expanding them across the country; by the early 2008 it became the largest family owned theme park group in the UK. From 2008, Duncan set up DP Associates (DPA) in 2008 and the sister company DP Leisure. He worked on Bletchey Park, renovated Dreamland Margate and rolled out a new breed of visitor attraction, 360play, the FEC in Milton Keynes. New sites open this year and in 2017 and franchise models are planned in Europe. Duncan is involved in several associations, including the IAAPA global FEC Committee. He is BOD of BALPPA."
