Andrew Cadmore is the Principal Electrical Design Engineer with Renewable Energy System Ltd. (RES), based out of the United Kingdom. His career started with South Wales Electricity (SWALEC, subsequently Hyder Ltd.) where he worked for 21 years, starting out as an engineering apprentice and departing in 1999 as Technical Manager for subsidiary contracting company Hyder Infrastructure Services Ltd. (HIS). His focus for the last 8 years at HIS was business development of the newly burgeoning wind market in the UK, plus lead electrical design and build engineer for wind generation projects across the UK and Ireland, plus with HIS working as electrical design and build sub-contractor to RES on their first two overseas wind projects in California, USA. In 1999 Andrew was invited to join the RES team to bring in-house electrical design capability into RES, joining in 2000. Andrew has been lead electrical designer for over 40 international wind projects and grounding designer for over 95 wind projects. For projects built in UK, Canada, France, Ireland, Jamaica, Sweden & USA. Also providing electrical design development support on many more wind projects, including projects in Australia, Portugal, South Africa & Turkey. Andrew is a Chartered Engineer (CEng) and Member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (MIET) in the UK.
