Octavio Martinez, Vice President of Engineering, is in charge of product and test development for QUALCOMM'S RF, Power Management and Base Band Analog product lines. Earlier in his career at Qualcomm, Octavio Martinez was also in charge of Product and Test development of the Qualcomm Single Chip (QSC) product family. This family went on to ship over 500 Million units. Octavio Martinez’ multiple innovations and initiatives also include the first 4x mixed signal SoC on HP83000 ATE platform, the first 4x mixed signal SOC on HP93000 ATE platform, and the first 8x WS solution with use of reduced pin testing for HP93000. Throughout his career, Octavio Martinez has been passionately driving a reduced COT (Cost of Test) and improvements in outgoing quality. Mr. Martinez responsibilities include semiconductor product test development, production enablement and costing. Octavio Martinez has been involved in the semiconductor industry for over 24 years. Prior to joining QUALCOMM, Octavio Martinez worked for Brooktree Corporation as a mixed signal test engineer. Octavio Martinez holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) and a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) from San Diego State University. Mr. Martinez also holds a granted U.S patent for RF isolation on ATE testing.
