Vic Kulkarni is Senior Vice President and General Manager, RTL Power Business, at ANSYS, San Jose. CA. Vic is responsible for growing the emerging business of RTL power simulation software used for designing ultra low-power semiconductor chips. Currently he is also steering the Company strategy in the emerging IoT opportunity along with ANSYS thought leaders, connecting the dots from chip-package-system software solutions with ANSYS multi-physics simulation tools targeted at various IoT verticals, ranging from Wearables, Healthcare, Automotive, Industrial, Defense to Smart & Connected Cities. Prior to merging with Apache in 2009 and subsequently with ANSYS, Vic was a co-founder, President and CEO of Sequence Design. He was named Entrepreneur of the Month by SiliconIndia magazine and secured Sequence a spot in Reed Electronics “50 Electronics Companies to Watch”. “Global 101- IIT India’s Intellectual Treasures” publication listed him as one of the thought leaders. Vic has been featured in several publications worldwide and has participated in several industry forums and panels. He has held engineering and various senior management positions in a number of leading semiconductor and EDA companies in the Silicon Valley for over 35 years. Vic has a MSEE in Solid State Electronics from University of Cincinnati. In 2007 the University honored him with the "Distinguished Alumnus Award. He has a B. Tech in Electrical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Bombay.
