Leo Mathew is the Co-Founder and C.E.O of Austin Texas based Applied Novel Devices Inc. He received the Bachelors in Engineering specializing in electronics and communications from the Government College of Technology, India, in 1990, and his Masters specializing in Microelectronics Technology from Arizona State University, Tempe, in 1993. He was a Power MOSFET Design Engineer with the Motorola (now ON Semiconductors) where he co-developed the power MOSFET design compiler and used it to design a family of power MOSFET products across multiple generations of TMOS process technologies. Since 2000 at Motorola Semiconductor Products Sector (now Freescale Semiconductors) Advanced Product Research and Development Laboratories, Austin, TX, He led the development of multi-gate MOSFET technologies. He was a distinguished innovator at Freescale Semiconductors. For his contribution to the invention and demonstration of the MIGFET( Multiple Independent gated FET) and ITFET (Inverted T Channel FET) he was awarded the EE-Times ACE award for Innovator of the year in 2006. He has over 40 issued patents and more on file covering Power MOSFETs, RF, and CMOS transistor devices and circuits. He was the co-founder and Chief Technology Officer at AstroWatt Inc. and is the Entrepreneur in Residence for the NASCENT/SWAN programs at Univ. Of Texas –Austin.
