Dr. Douglas Meakin holds a BSc in Electrical Engineering from Dundee University and a PhD from the University of Liverpool. In his seventeen years at Lam Research he has held roles in Product Management and Supply Chain management and has been head of the Supply Chain organization for the last six years, guiding it through the merger with Novellus and periods of extremely high growth. He is responsible for global procurement, supplier business management, supplier development and quality, and the organization includes operations in the USA, Europe and Asia. Prior to joining Lam Research, Dr Meakin held both technology and sales and marketing roles at Applied Komatsu Technology, Balzers Process Systems and Leybold.
