Kaushik joined Cisco through the Lightwire acquisition in early 2012 where he was VP of Engineering. He led the CPAK 100G product development which was the industry’s highest performance and first commercial, IEEE standards compliant product released into volume production by Cisco. The technology developed by Cisco has multiple innovations in the Silicon Photonics wafer process technology, IC development and packaging areas. This generation of technology has been used by Cisco to release a number of breakthrough products enabling Cisco’s Switching and Routing products to achieve a leadership position in the market place. Kaushik received both his BSc(Hons) and PhD from University of London.
